During December 12th to 14th, TDOC Secretariat organized the “2018 Taiwan Smart Agriculture Workshop” in Taiwan and invited 7 delegates from 3 different countries in the Southeast Asia.
The development of Smart Agriculture is on the way and cannot be ignored due to lots of reasons such as the climate change and population. Many countries are dedicating to acquire the better technologies in Agriculture. Including Taiwan, with the advantage of ICT manufacturing and experience of multi-disaster. Taiwan has built up its way forward the next generation of agriculture.
The main topic of the workshop is to share the knowledge and experience of Smart Agriculture in Taiwan through the courses and site-visiting. TDOC Secretariat invited the experts and specialists to share not only the ICT application but also related certificated, safety, transformation in Taiwanese agriculture. Additionally, on Dec 12th, TDOC Secretariat also cooperated with National Sun-Yat-Sen University (NSYSU) in Taiwan, the delegation participated the ICT & Smart Agriculture session of 2018 Development of ICT Integration and Application in Southeast Asia held by NSYSU.
Seeing is believing, TDOC Secretariat arranged the delegation to visit the YongLin Farm in Kaohsiung, Season Farm in Tainan and Yeshealth iFarm in Taoyuan. All these farms famous example of Smart Agriculture in Taiwan. More than seeing, the delegates could enjoy the meals that food is provided by the farm they visited.
Except of conference and site-visiting, the delegates also visited the most known landmark of the Taipei 101, the tourist must go and shopping.
3 Days workshop including visiting from Kaohsiung to Taipei, and farm to Taipei 101. It expresses not only knowledge & experience but also culture shocks. In the conclusion & wrap-up meeting, the participants deliver the positive feedback and expect the similar ICT workshop which could be hold in their countries. Few of delegates also expect that they could have chance to invite Taiwanese experts or procure related solution to their countries.
