“2015 e-Government and Smart ICT Workshop” were conducted in Myanmar and Lao respectively. The experience of the development of e-Government, smart transportation, and smart campus in Taiwan was successfully shared. In addition, a 5-day “2015 e-Government and Smart ICT Workshop Camp” were hosted by TDOC secretariat in Taiwan, with the participation of ICT/e-Government related sectors’ representatives from Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos, to study and visit Taiwan e-government related constructions.
TDOC project also continues the maintenance and operation of the 5 model APEC digital opportunity centers located in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. In 2015, TDOC club and workshop with professional lecturers for teaching and counseling were held in these countries.
For example, TDOC secretariat provided Indonesia ecotourism cluster counseling by using ICT to assist Digital Opportunity Center in Medan Indonesia, and assisted local SMEs to use ICT to improve the local economic development of ecotourism.
Moreover, with nongovernmental resources provided from Asus and universities to jointly promote international volunteer service. Volunteers use summer vacation to visit ADOC Digital Opportunity Center for services in information education. On December 15th 2015, the opening ceremony of the first Digital Opportunity Center in Myanmar was held in Yangon.
