This summer, 10 volunteer groups with a total of 120 volunteers went to the rural areas and communities of the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Nepal, Myanmar, Malaysia, India, and Tanzania.
Through the donation of hardware and providing ICT related lectures, the digital divides were shortened. Overall, a total of over 7,000 school teachers and students have taken the training services. This volunteer project was sponsored by Asus Foundation and TDOC Secretariat. On September 9, “2016 International Volunteer Fair” took place at the headquarters of Asus, all volunteers gathered together for presenting what they have learnt and experienced from the volunteer program.
Volunteers from Yuan Ze University won the best award, 10 thousand NT dollars, and 2-year recycled computer sponsorship. The team provided humanitarian aid and ICT courses for the school children in earthquake area of Nepal.
